CORRECTIVE AND FUNCTIONAL EXERCISE REHABILITATION THERAPY

Are corrective and functional exercises for everyone?

Currently, over 80% of our patients need corrective exercises and between 50-60% need functional exercises.

Starting with exercises that use only your own body weight for resistance is where everyone should start. 

As your body becomes more stable using corrective exercises you maybe ready for more of a challenge, you can add functional exercises and use more resistance in the form of weights or resistance tubing. 

If you are unable to use weights or resistance tubing you can perform movements in a pool.  This is a low impact way of achieving functional exercise.
